Last week was a memorable one for Create-a-Brand, as we worked to produce a pitch for a global advertising company to present. The pitch was to secure a massive job - promoting a multi-billion dollar infrastructure building process over the next decade in a Middle Eastern Country. We cannot give specific details, but the workload was intense – three separate campaign strategies were required, plus television ad concepts and scripts plus storyboards, billboard posters, a DM piece, press ads and separate bespoke websites, all with original look, feel and copy individual to the stages in question.
The team managed to complete it all over the space of four and a half days and nights, with little sleep, many cups of coffee and tea, one or two ‘firm and frank exchanges of opinion’, fish and chips, a fantastic hamper kindly provided by Sav’s mum, and the occasional medicinal bottle of beer.
Lego mini-figures were forthcoming at strategic moments in order to soothe fevered brows and incentivise the workers. As an unexpected bonus to the week’s work, Archie now has the complete Lego Series 6.
As a blue Lego genie (complete with turban and lamp) beamed on approvingly, the final pieces of work were dispatched safely into the ether on Saturday afternoon. The project had only come to Create-Brand’s attention eight days previously and go ahead was only given on the Tuesday evening.
The client was delighted and the pitch was presented this week to no less than the Crown Prince of the country in question. We have our fingers crossed for success for our client. Now we just have to stop dreaming about trains, platforms, tracks, etc.
