This week there’s been the American elections; Bill Tarmey’s (Jack Duckworth from Coronation Street's) death; and I’ve had the lucky chance to do a 5 days of work experience here, in exotic Clay Coton, for Create-a-Brand. I wanted to come and experience this area of work as, being 15-year-old Rugby High School student, I am still not yet sure about what I am going to do in the future.

Amongst the copious amounts of tea and simply wonderful employees in this business, I’ve learnt so much! After being introduced to everyone and getting an overall idea to what they each do and how they do it, Archie sent me straight in at the deep end, going to a meeting for a new client. I’ve then continued to work on an information document for this business – a very important stage when branding from the start.

As well as this small project, I’ve been given the chance to take photos, write posts, experiment with Photoshop and get an overall feel of the working world.

It has been really interesting to hear different views of the business world and many have given me tips to help me in the future. Whether it be writing my CV, choosing my course at University or where to come to help market my own business, this lot know their stuff!

This awesome crew work so hard with what they do to get jobs done to the highest standard and even spending an hour or two here you would get to know that. I would recommend doing some work experience here as you get a real idea of what it’s like and you get a real chance to experience the type of work they are doing.

So really, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in Create-a-Brand for having me this week, they’re all fantastic at what they do and have given me a great idea of this area of work if I am stuck deciding later in life. - Abigail
